When most people think of things to do in Breckenridge, the first thing that comes to mind is skiing. Part of the Ten Mile Range, Peak 8 is a major attraction at Breckenridge Ski Area, with groomed parks and plenty of options for intermediate to advanced skiers. The resort also has education for all levels.
Best Things To Do In Breckenridge During Summer
This is one of the more expensive ski resorts, but offers on-site dining and lodging, excellent customer service, and plenty of amenities.

One of the most fun trips with kids (or let’s face it, troll enthusiasts) is visiting Isaac Hartstone. The troll-like wooden sculptures were created as part of the annual Breckenridge Art Festival and are now at the end of a short course.
You can visit it all year round, but the road is not repaired in winter, so be prepared for a lot of snow. This is one of the most popular things to do in Breckenridge, so during the season to visit Breckenridge, you may have to wait a few minutes to take a selfie with Isaac.

Blue Lakes Breckenridge, Colorado Summer Elopement: Jordan And Logan
You can cross-country ski at the Gold Run Nordic Center, located outside of town, or at the Breckenridge Nordic Center, located near the ski resort. Both companies rent skis and snowshoes and offer lessons. The Breckenridge Nordic Center also has a lodge and restaurant.

A mountain bike with nylon tires designed for winter conditions, riding a nylon bike is great winter fun in Breckenridge. You can go hiking on any of the snowshoe trails at the Nordic Gold Run Center, and the center also offers lessons, day trips, and a full moon tour.

This is not your typical sleigh ride! Visit parts of Mine Boy Country on a sleigh pulled by an old truck (with snow tracks, of course). You can burn off the s’mores after the trip.

Learn all about Barney Ford’s life and work at this fantastic museum. Barney Ford ran away from the farm to become a businessman and later built a beautiful Victorian home in Breckenridge for his wife and family. He was one of the first advocates of civil rights in Colorado.
The Breckenridge, Colorado Arts District includes historic lodges, barns and other buildings that house studios for working artists.

Visit Boy Mine Country and learn about the dangers of mining in Summit County. Children can pan for gold, slide down an iron trough and kiss donkeys.
