The program was established in 2011 by the Rotary Club of Katy and has raised more than $850,000 for student scholarships and donations to charities. And thanks to the volunteers’ hard work, 100 percent of the money goes back into the community. The cherry on top is that Wild West Brewfest has been voted the number one beer festival in North America by BeerYeti.com for several years.
And over 500 beers from over 100 brewers across the country. While beer is the main focus of the event (and raising money for the community), there will also be several segments including live music, game tents, food trucks, shaded areas and free water to keep hydrated.

General admission starts at $35 and includes a 12-ounce (2-ounce) beer sampler card. VIP tickets start at $85 and include early entry at 2 p.m. and access to VIP’s Hop House with high quality beer available and great food.
Tickets are also available for the opening party on Friday November 12. Wild West Brewfest tickets can be purchased in advance here.
Although many people associate pasta with Italian cuisine, her cooking of risotto is a star in its own right. In Houston, risotto gets its own celebration. The 15th International Risotto Festival will feature some of the city’s best chefs, including Maurizio Ferrarese from Alba at the Hotel Granduca, putting their own spin on the Italian rice dish. Alessandro Scarafile from Rome and Angelo Capone from Cancura Italy Bites. But a chef doesn’t have to be Italian to put his stamp on risotto. Wesley Tyler of Carlton Woods Country Club, 15-year-old Luzim Shimaz of Old Railroad Cafe and Dylan Kao will be joined by several other chefs who will offer guests delicious samples of their risotto creations.
Unfortunately, VIP tickets are sold out but general admission tickets ($100) are now available and include risotto samples and wine tasting.
Queer Things To Do In Houston This Weekend: July 14–17, 2022
A dozen chefs from Houston and beyond will compete in the competition to let ticket holders brag about their oxtail creations next year. The choice of the judge and the choice of the people are given. Chefs include Houston’s Johnny Rhodes of Brougham’s Soul Food Grocery/Indigo, Mark Clayton of Squabble, Don Bowie of Taste and pitmaster Andre Barnes of Barnes BBQ, as well as Erica Barrett of SOCU Hospitality in Alabama and CFLL Evan from other areas. hospitality group.
There will also be a bartending competition for the best mash up punch with Houston’s Sarah Troxel of The Toasted Coconut, Tulu Kafele of Piggy’s, Lasan Arseneau of Three Lumps of Sugar and Ryan Perry of Rabbit Got the Gun. Houston Alliance will also meet with Atlanta’s Slush’s Jamal Rashad.
A portion of the proceeds from the Oxtail Mash Up will go to Project Row Houses, an effort to promote nutrition education and food preparation specifically in the Third Ward.

The 4th Annual Chili Cook-Off at Revelry is $5 grand. Guests will receive unlimited peppermint bags and a ballot to vote for their favorite. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be awarded with cash and prizes. Richmond’s festival has plenty of beers to buy to wash down a variety of peppers. And the weather is going to be chippy this weekend.
