Montrose Beach is on the north side of the city and is the coldest of Chicago’s beaches. It is very family friendly and you will see many people cooking on the grass behind the beach. My favorite thing about this place is the standard Mexican mexican and ice cream carts that come along.
Another feature of Montrose is the adjacent Dog Beach. Even if you are not a dog owner, it is fun to watch them having fun and playing in the water.
