Hot springs are formed from geothermal thermal water that flows from the earth’s crust. Hot springs can contain more dissolved solids than cold water and have a very high mineral content. These minerals are believed to provide natural treatment options for a variety of common ailments. When you bathe in a hot spring, your skin absorbs these minerals and your hydrostatic pressure increases, increasing blood circulation and oxygen flow. This oxygenated circulatory system helps keep your heart and other vital organs and tissues in your body healthy and strong. Colorado has many natural hot springs.
The most popular are Glenwood Hot Springs Resort or Glenwood Springs at Iron Mountain Hot Springs. However, there are many other hot springs in Colorado that you should know about, including Strawberry Park Hot Springs and Old Town Hot Springs in Steamboat Springs, Indian Hot Springs in Idaho Springs, and Hot Sulfur Springs Resort & Spa.
