If you want to get away from the more expensive hotels in Fort Collins, you can find cheaper places to stay in the north end. But there are nicer (and more expensive) owner-occupied rental homes near the country club.

The North Fort Collins area is less populated than downtown, giving you a more rural feel. You’re also closer to the Wyoming border if you want to see another state while you’re there.
