Yes, I immediately ran to therapy! Located in the industrial district of Washington St. That might sound strange to Denver kids. However, once you walk through the door, you’ll understand why.
Hammond Confectionery doesn’t just make candy. They perform ancient rituals from the last century to the present day. A free factory tour brings you face-to-face with eye-catching hand-drawn confections and hand-shaped candy ribbons.

Denver City Park is one of the best places to visit in Denver with kids. This sprawling green space is home to some of Denver’s top attractions, including the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and the Denver Zoo.
The park dates back to the late 1800s and is one of Denver’s oldest public spaces.
Throughout the park you will find green lawns, playgrounds, bike rentals, and trails. You can rent a swan-shaped boat for one of those Instagrammable moments on Lake Ferril.

Located on the east corner of City Park, the Denver Zoo is one of Denver’s top family attractions. The zoo has more than 3,000 animals, including elephants, giraffes, orangutans, and lions.

This fun and exciting museum is a playground full of water features, playgrounds, a grocery store, a fire department, an art gallery, and even a DIY area for little artists. Children can also take cooking lessons in the teaching kitchen.
The Capitol Building might not seem like the most fun to visit with the family in Denver, but Colorado’s state capitol is pretty impressive, even with little ones.
Free walking tours are available from Monday to Friday. More than 10 participants must book in advance. This tour covers many interesting facts about the architecture and history of Denver, Colorado. There is even a fun children’s playground.
Denver’s Blue Bear
The setting itself is also very beautiful. Also, standing on the Mile-High steps near the front door makes for a great photo opportunity.

Stopping at one of the most unique and beautiful concert venues in the world is an unforgettable experience. You can also make time to catch one of the world’s best concerts at Red Rocks Amphitheater.
Even if you can’t get tickets for your favorite team, Red Rocks Park is a fun place to be. Our kids love going up and down the rock platform. There are also many beautiful trails for hiking, biking or horseback riding.
Just a 20-minute drive from downtown Denver to Morrison and Dinosaur Ridge, you’ll feel like you’re walking in the footsteps of dinosaurs. Directly!
This world-famous archaeological site was first discovered in 1877, and since then, hundreds of specimens of various dinosaurs have been found that roamed the mangrove swamps.
Fun Things To Do While In Denver For The Global Scrum Gathering 2022
Just minutes from Dinosaur Ridge is the Colorado Railroad Museum.
This fun and interesting train museum features vintage locomotives dating back over a century. All are housed in a train yard built to represent an 1880s train station from the early days of the Colorado Railroad.

One of the few remaining family amusement parks in the United States, Lakeside Amusement Park opened in 1908. You can find it in northwest Denver.
Water World is located in Union Heights on the northern edge of the city. It has several nice wave pools and white water waves.
Located 10 minutes east of downtown, the Denver Botanic Gardens is one of the best and most relaxing things to do in Denver with kids.
The quiet paths around the park provide an easy escape from the city. These are some of the best trails around the Garden of the Gods. And the 3-acre Mordecai Children’s Park is a fun place for little ones to dig, explore, and play.
Day Trips & Places To Visit Near Denver| Visit Denver
The Denver Mint is one of four mints operating in the United States. In fact, if you find a small “D” on the head of one of the coins, it means it was minted at the Denver Mint.
A 45-minute alligator tour is one of the free things to do in Denver with kids. You’ll learn about the history of the mint and how US coins are produced and placed in the hands of the public.
There are few things my kids love more than pictures of butterflies. Just minutes from Denver, Westminster, the Butterfly Pavilion is one of the best.
