The Hot Air Balloon Rodeo and Art in the Park show offer art and color on canvas and in the air, making this weekend a Steamboat Springs, Colorado summer staple. This year’s Hot Air Balloon Rodeo & Art will be launched from July 8-9, 2017. The rodeo portion includes fun competitions like diving into Bald Eagle Lake, and since balloon pilots can be quite competitive, you’re guaranteed a good show.
Once the balloons are in the air, drink coffee and eat delicious crepes from a vendor while watching more balloons in the Yampa Valley sky. A few minutes away, another colorful scene awaits at Art in the Park, where arts and crafts, demonstrations and an interactive area for kids will fill your day.
When the sun goes down, head back to the mountain area and take in the sunset and bright balloon colors to light up the world over Mount Werner.
