Good to know: The trail to Maroon Bells is only open in summer, from mid-May to early October. September is a particularly beautiful time of year as the aspen trees along the lake take on their fall colors. !

The Silver Queen Gondola is one of Aspen’s unmissable events! It has direct access to the summit of Mount Aspen from downtown and offers some of the best mountain views in the area. After about 15 minutes, you’ll reach the sundeck at an elevation of 11,200 feet (3,414 meters). The view from the top is unbelievable!
