With high prices and no advertising found at some of Colorado’s other anachronistic festivals – enjoy a weekend of DIY comedy, cosplay, music and comedy at the Colorado Medieval Festival, where you can take the whole family without breaking the bank. . 21st Annual Indian Bazaar and Gala Dance Sunday, June 5, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fort Daily, 19192 Highway 1, Morrison
The Tesoro Cultural Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to showcasing the historic community of western Colorado, will host its 21st annual Indian Bazaar and Dance Gala, a weekend of local art, dance and music on the grounds of the Fort Restaurant. Representatives from over forty countries will gather for this social learning experience. Admission is $10 per day (children twelve and under); learn more and buy tickets.

The Athens Project Plays series, a drama festival for women playwrights, returns to the virtual space this weekend after two years of virtual programming for live readings and panels. For People, Carol Mullen and Meghan Maugery’s polar bear drama that weaves together community politics and LGBTQ issues, about a long-distance friendship between three bipolar teens, premieres June 4 at Lia Romeo Agency, June 5, serving as Love about a business that hires actors for , And Jenny Stafford about Eleanor and Dolly, high school students looking for love. Colorado Shakespeare Festival 2022 Sunday, June 5 at 7:00 p.m.; Running through August 16 at Mary Rippon Outdoor Theater and University Theatre, CU Boulder Campus
A 60-year-old Boulder tradition, the Colorado Shakespeare Festival opens this weekend at the University of Colorado at Boulder with the June 5 premiere of Two Gentlemen of Verona under the stars at the outdoor Mary Rippon Theater. This will be followed by quality performances of All Well Well Well at Rippon or the Indoor University Theater from June 18 in repertory; Lauren Gunderson’s Test Opens July 2; and Coriolanus and premieres on July 16. Things To Do During The 4th Of July Weekend In Denver!
Public domain theater festivals can offer some of the most egalitarian performances you’ll ever see: original theater created with copyright-free materials, ideas and books, performed outdoors by touring actors. This month, three Front Range companies known for creating aerial theater and/or community traditions—Bountport Theatre, Catamounts and Su Teatro—will take to outdoor theaters in Boulder and Westminster. Buntport was inspired by François Desprez’s magnificent woodcut The Droll Dreams of Pantagruel (1565); Catamounts focuses on several poems by Dorothy Parker, Barrymore’s Don Juan and Hemingway’s The Sun Rises, all dating from 1926; And Su Teatro focuses on Chicano activist street theater. And Toto’s departure from Denver’s female playwrights for new original theater telling women’s stories added something to celebrate when the annual Tennyson Street Play Crawl began a decade ago. Ten micro-plays by local playwrights performed in one evening will mark the tenth anniversary with another two-hour tour, which begins and ends with a silent auction in 46 square meters. Dinosaur Ridge is a famous natural landmark located in the Rocky Mountains near Morrison, Colorado.
