Not only is Breckenridge a hiker’s dream, it’s also a mecca for all types of cyclists, from road bikes, mountain bikes, cruisers and everything in between. Discover seemingly endless trails and paths for cyclists of all levels and get ready to enjoy the scenery on two wheels. Rent equipment or bring your own! Bikes of all types and sizes can be rented at various locations – try the self-guided city bike tours, customized tours, Vail Pass tours and the popular beer and distillery bike tour.
Rafting trips can be adjusted to your age, skill level and time spent on the river.
Some of the best rafting in the country is available just a short distance from Breckenridge. The Arkansas River in central Colorado flows through the iconic Browns Canyon National Monument. There are also options on the Eagle River near Vail and of course the Blue River in Breckenridge. One of our favorite summertime fishing spots is lower Mohawk Lake or along the Blue River where you can catch Colorado’s native salmon trout.

Whether it’s for the daily practice of paddling deeper or just relaxing in the sun, it makes for a relaxed day on the water. Try Maggie Pond for an easy paddle, perfect for beginners or a SUP yoga class if you have good balance.
Take part in one of BreckCreate’s craft workshops or classes, such as pot throwing, woodworking, glassblowing or jewelry making. Local artists work on the Arts District campus and provide studio hours and activities for visitors to watch their process or take classes.

The adventure begins at the south end of town with short educational stops at select landmarks en route to Blue River Rec.
