CEDAREDGE – One of the largest outdoor festivals in western Colorado is returning this weekend. The 45th annual Applefest, which runs Thursday, October 7, through Sunday, October 9, celebrates the local apple harvest with music, beer, wine and more than 200 arts and crafts vendors. The Cedaredge Fire Department kicked off the festivities Friday with chili pie. The tour also features a barbecue dinner, junior rodeo, classic car and tractor show, beer challenge, Applefest 5K and more. Applefest will take place at Cedaredge City Park. Free delivery.

DENVER – The 40th annual American Beer Festival (GABF) is back in person after a two-year pandemic hiatus. More than 40,000 beer enthusiasts will descend on the Colorado Convention Center to sample 2,000 beers from 500 breweries. the nation’s largest ticketed beer festival and collection of US beers ever served, in the form of public tastings and private judging competitions. DENVER – Colorado Ballet opens its 2022-23 season on Friday, Oct. 7 with “Dracula.” The production brings Bram Stoker’s gothic novel to life, with Victorian-style sets and costumes, seductive vampires and a troupe of the undead. “Dracula” features choreography by Michael Pink and a score by Philip Feeney performed live by the Colorado Ballet Orchestra.
