Ski/snowboard Consumer Expos Offer Info And Fun!
The move, announced Friday, marks the first time consumer-oriented company SIA — the 65-year-old founder of the annual Snow Show, which is now part of the outdoor retailer’s annual winter trade show in Denver — has conducted business-to-business deals. For decades… . Trade fair.
Exhibitions in Denver and Boston founded by Bernie Wechel’s BEWI Productions Inc. In 1979, it drew thousands of skiers, retailers and brands to what it called the “unofficial kickoff to winter.”
“We asked ourselves how SIA can connect our industry directly to consumers, and the current Consumer Expo makes the most sense in that way,” Nick Sargent, president of Utah-based SIA, said in a written statement. “We look forward to building on the heritage and heritage shared by BEWI by unveiling a new innovative and consumer-centric approach to this winter celebration.”
In 2017, SIA sold the Emerald Expositions, an annual gathering of all winter sports retailers, brands and media for the 50th anniversary of Snowshoe, a collection of summer and winter outdoor retailer trade shows.

It helps to grow. And winter. Participating in sport and addressing the impacts of climate change.
The deal was announced at the opening of the 38th annual Boston Ski & Snowboard Expo, an annual gathering that marks the start of the ski season for New England skiers.
Sargent said in a statement that he hopes to host trade shows in both cities and expand to other cities, “creating a network of consumer-focused events for the industry.” Did an October blizzard get you excited to hit the slopes this week?
