Seasonal dates vary, however, most parks open on Memorial Day and stay open through Labor Day, as does your local swimming pool. The latter is not your typical amusement park, and is located right outside the Mile High City Metro.

Although this is no ordinary amusement park, it is a family-friendly theme park. Located in Morrison off Highway 285, just off southwest CO-470 and the Denver square, Tiny Town is home to a small village and railroad.
Less than 30 minutes from the city center, this “world famous” gem is best suited for small children. With a playground, train rides, kid-sized buildings, snack bar and gift shop, families can spend a day exploring together. Perfect for birthday parties, the Tiny Town & Train season begins May 28, 2022. Open daily from 10am – 5pm until Labor Day, admission is minimal.
A “stay and play” destination for year-round on-site stays, Lawson Adventure Park offers a variety of mountain accommodations, including fully furnished cabins and yurts, as well as campgrounds. They also have a full bar in their main check-in cabin.
Located 45 minutes west of the capital via Highway 70 in Dumont, which is adjacent to the Empire, the main attraction of Lawson Adventure Park is open in the summer, although if you stay in the spring or winter, they have offers and itineraries for outdoor recreation nearest .
