It took about an hour to reach our location. The terrain and speed in Poudre Canyon is great for driving. We paddled on the Cache La Poudre River, the only “Wild & Scenic” national river in Colorado. Unlike other Colorado lakes and rivers, the Poudre flows through a narrow, almost continuous canyon. Keep an eye out for wildlife such as deer, wild ducks, eagles, bighorn sheep and black bears.
