Summer Operations And Opening Dates At Colorado Ski Resorts
Starting at Snowmass Village, Elk Camp Gondola riders can ascend nearly 3,000 feet for a variety of easy, intermediate, and expert trails. Snowmass Resort is recognized as one of seven International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA) equestrian centers in the world, with rentals and clinics to help you enjoy the activity.
Snowmass Bike Park is usually open daily from mid-June to Labor Day each year. After that, the park and lifts will be open on weekends until early October. During the summer months, guests are encouraged to look for “Bonus Bike Nights,” when gondola operations are adjusted to accommodate the season’s extra hours of sunshine.
Steamboat Bike Park in Steamboat Springs, Routt County, offers bike transportation services through Christie Peak Express at the resort. Riding the same trails as Northern Colorado’s most popular ski area, Steamboat Bike Park offers miles of downhill trails suitable for riders of all skill levels.
Every year, Steamboat offers lift rides from mid-June through Labor Day weekend. Welcoming mountain bike enthusiasts of all ages, it features some of the state’s most impressive man-made jumps, drops, rocks, bridges and other wonders.
Keystone Bike Park
To get the most out of your trip, Steamboat Ski Resort offers private lessons, rentals and clinics, as well as an extensive network of cross-country and multi-use trails. In total, the Steamboat Bike Park has about 70 miles of open trails for mountain biking, with a good mix of green, blue and black trails.
Beaver Creek Resort, located outside of Avon, Colorado, stays open for business during the summer months and welcomes hikers and bikers. With breathtaking views around every corner, Beaver Creek contains plenty of trails for beginners, intermediates, and experts for cross-country and downhill adventures.
From the village of Beaver Creek, visitors can take the Centennial Express, which terminates at the mountaintop Spruce Saddle Lodge. When it comes to interesting man-made challenges, few resorts offer as many activities as the Keystone Trail. While there are plenty of fun areas for beginners, Keystone’s selection of boulders, bridges, banks and jumps can also keep experienced riders busy for a full day or the downhill season.
Mountain biking at Telluride Ski Resort, served by the area’s famous Box Canyon scenic lifts, offers one of Colorado’s most exhilarating and rewarding downhill experiences.
