When looking for an apartment, it is very important to consider what type of lease you will need to sign. The most common type of lease is “joint responsibility,” which means that all tenants who sign the lease are responsible, even if one tenant in the apartment can’t or won’t pay their share of the rent.

One thing to consider if you live in a house is that utilities can be more expensive than if you lived in an apartment or smaller place. If you plan to live in a house, it’s important to ask who will be responsible for maintaining the property and other areas such as front yards and gardens.
