Wild West Walking History Tour — Golden History Tours
It was established as Gold City in 1859 during the Pike Peak Gold Rush. It became the center of miners and settlers in that area. Today, the town still has a lot of western mountains and is a base for day trips along the Front Range.

Lookout Mountain Nature Center and Preserve is one of the best day trips from Denver! The exhibits in the city center are wonderful, and many are hand-crafted so that children can look at them. The trail near downtown is also family friendly and one of the best hikes near Denver.

Golden History Park was formerly known as Clear Creek History Park. There are many buildings in Golden Gate Canyon that back up to Pearce Ranch. You will find a cottage, a barn, a chicken coop and the Guy Hill Schoolhouse, which was built in 1876.
