Denver Colorado Attractions In May

Denver Colorado Attractions In May – No. 7: Hanging Lake. You should see the lake of greenery hanging over the valley in Glenwood Canyon near Glenwood Springs. The guidebook tells you it’s “just one” hike, but it’s actually half an hour on a paved bike path, followed by a mile-long, bumpy hike with 1,000 feet of gain. . It’s hard, but every step is worth it.

Things To Do In Colorado This Spring

No. 1. Lake Gilpin. The Steamboat Springs Chamber of Commerce calls Lake Gilpin a “blue alpine lake of incredible beauty.” I agree. Not only the lake, but the walk there was amazing.

BONUS: Although there is a 9-mile hike to the lake, the lake is even more spectacular if you follow Cirkel Road Zirkel to the ridge above the lake. The road to the top of the hill is steep, so stop often and take more pictures of Lake Gilpin. The rest of the tour (11.2 miles total) includes other lakes, waterfalls and cascades.

* Note that while Steamboat Springs is 150 miles from Denver, the drive to Gilpin Lake and Circle Lake is 29 miles from the city, but we had to include this unique location.
